A California girl moves to Colorado.  She falls in love with an Iowa boy.  And the rest is….well, happily ever after.

When a bride is planning her wedding in February, she expects there will be snow.  But on this particular Saturday, the sun was shining and Denver was reaching record breaking highs.  It couldn’t have been more perfect for Allie.  She said that she had been praying that she wouldn’t freeze on her wedding and she hoped (above everything) there would be a blizzard.  The day was far from that.

With Allie surrounded by her bridesmaids and mom, she slipped into her amazing chiffon bridal gown.  Once the final touches were complete, she headed through the door towards her groom, who was nervously/excitedly waiting for her at the bottom of the church steps.  The moment Jared turned around, you could tell he could finally exhale a huge breathe as he laid eyes on his soon to be wife.  There were smiles, hugs and lots of kisses to follow.

When the ceremony had finished, they made their way to Hudson Gardens.  I got to steal them away for a bit just as the sun was covering every corner of this little part of the world in golden light.

I knew from the moment I met with Allie for the first time in a Starbucks and we sat and talked for hours; she was going to be more than a client.  She has turned into a friend.  When I then met Jared, I could see how these two fell in love with each other.  They’re perfect for one another.

Allie & Jared, I wish you nothing but many, many, many joy filled years.  You had the most beautiful day to start your new journey and I feel so lucky that you chose me to document all those moments.  Congratulations!!
