So this is how it all went down.  Ashleigh invited Alex to come to the graduation of students while she was a student teacher.  Alex agreed very willingly.  The day arrives and Ashleigh gets up to give a speech…that lasted about 45 minutes.  Let’s just say, I’m sure a particular gentlemen in the audience with a ring in his pocket was wanting her to wrap it up with each passing minute.  When Ashleigh finished, her teacher suggested that they play a game.  Hangman.  Ashleigh was calling on the kids to answer, not really paying attention to Alex as he had written a very important questions for Ashleigh to figure out.  Then all of a sudden one of Ashleigh’s students said that she totally knew what it was and that she was going to freak out.  Ashleigh still wasn’t paying attention and then finally looked at the puzzle and knew.  Definitely check it out here…it made the news!

That was last year.  This year Alex is in Kansas City for physical therapy school, so planning a wedding while long distance probably isn’t what these two hoped for.  But come next May, I think they will be more than ready to finally live in the same city….oh yeah, and be married!
